Just some late night shots from Tomorrowland with little to no people around. From several different years and times of year. Can you notice any special holiday lighting?

Ye Old Sign Shop: Safari Wars
After the holiday weekend im still
feeling lazy, so I pulled up a post from my first blog from way back
in the day. It fits well with my sign shop topic idea so I hope you
enjoy.
A long time ago in a African village
far far away... Two rival safari company's competed for top billing
as “the best safaris in all of East Africa. This is the underlying
storyline Disney Imagineers inserted to the already bustling story
driven village of Harambe. The first company should ring a bell, the
Kilimanjaro Safaris. But there rival is a little less known, Cap'n
Bobs Super Safaris. Kilimanjaro's slogan is “When it comes to
safaris, we go wild!”,bob's is “trust us!” so you be the judge
who to travel with.
So how do you find out about the
mysterious Cap'n Bob's? Well start by taking time to walk the back
alleys of the village and read the posters on the walls. Most look
like they have been plastered on 20 years ago not just 9, this is
thanks to the great thematic techniques of the Imagineers. So next
time in Harambe take some time to read the local ad's you may find
there is more then meet the eye.

Disney Dining: The Pinocchio Village Haus
Disney Dining will cover the amazing
Disney restaurants and the wonderful food they offer. Today we look
at Pinocchio's in the Magic Kingdom. With a regular counter service
menu this restaurants real stand out feature is its design. It fits
great with the rest of Fantasyland and offers a great view of Small
World. A experience that can only be found in a few places such as
the Blue Bayou at Disneyland. The Pictures that follow are just a
glimpse of this quaint lunch time favorite.

Electricians Closet: The Polynesian Resort
Electricians Closet topics will focus
on some of the more beautiful lighting around the Disney parks. Both
the artful and practical. Today we take a look at some of the
thematic lighting of the Polynesian Resort. Above are a few examples
of the resorts interior. Starting from the top left clockwise, The
Great Ceremonial Hall's lobby has several beautiful water features,
but not till night fall do they really show with some soft underwater
lighting. Next we head up stairs to the Kona Cafe. Here we see
several styles of lighting mixed to give enough light to be
functional but also keep the mood soft and warm. Our last two photos
take us downstairs to Captain Cooks. First one of several hallway
lights, second the general seating area of the restaurant. Both
featuring a native theme and soft ambient light.
Now outside for some fresh air. Two
main themes on the beach tropical and nautical. This is visible threw
the tiki touches and the nautical lanterns that line the beaches and
the docks. Take a close look at the middle lantern, I spotted this
awesome spider web and had to take a picture of it. Another great
bonus to having tiki tourchs is the amount of kinetic energy or
“life” it adds to a location. I'll go into my resort “Life”
theory in future posts.

Nooks and Crannies: Adventureland
For our first nooks and crannies
article we are going to visit a few spots in my favorite land in the
Magic Kingdom, Adventureland. Three stops on our tour today. First
this lovely little courtyard just to the right of the entrance to
Pirates of the Caribbean. A great place to sneak away from the crowds
and relax.
Second stop is across the way at the
Tortuga Tavern. One of several well themed rooms with a piratical and
nautical flair. A great place to enjoy a taco salad or if it doesn't
melt before you get there a Dole Whip.
Last but not least we go down the way
to the queue of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Just past the turn-styles
take a look up and get lost in this amazing architectural design.
Making Memories: The castle at the end of the street
Just a few views of Cinderella Castle from different times of day and year. In future posts i'll post pics of the castle before the girly pink highlights it got a few years back.
