Audio Archive: Golden Dreams Instrumental version

It's the week leading up to Independence day so what better way to celebrate than to listen to some patriotic music. So today we bring to you the instrumental rendition of Golden Dreams from the American Adventure at Epcot. This version is nice because it has the slow twilight times at the beginning that play while Mark Twain and Ben Franklin are talking in the finale scene. This is the only version of the song that I know of that includes them.

Audio Archive: The Age of Infromation

When EPCOT Center opened in 1982 Communicore was the hub of all things technology and progress. Inside one attraction stood out as maybe looking a little dated and out of place when in reality it was so far ahead of it's time that we can stand in amazement at it today. A collection of wood displays including a man in a bowler hat, a ferris wheel and tower of rotary phones. This was  Einsel Theater and the Display was The Age of Information. As it would come to life opening hidden scenes and move characters a song would play telling us about all the amazing tech the future had to offer. Including Smart phones, Amazon, and Google. It truly was the Nostradamus of the 80's. So Let's sit back and enjoy the Age of Information and listen to the future of the past that is now the present.

Sing Along Here

Age of Information

now mom and dad and junior can own
a new-fangled smart telephone

its amazing all the things it can do

As it brings the world closer to you

you can sit right there in your easy chair
and check the stock report

on a screen at home make plans to roam
to your favorite ski resort

It’ll bring the world closer to you

There’s a wonderful change comin’
a beautiful day dawnin’
a miracle we’re seeing come true

cause the age of information
is sweeping across the nation
and bringing the world closer to you

it will call the cops on a robber

it will help the kids with their homework

it will hook your home to your office

send your heartbeat clear crosstown

it will give you all kinds of freedom

Like when you want to go shopping
it will bring the store to your front door

it’s the handiest thing around

and it brings the world, closer to you
and its making the world better
its making the world smaller
its giving the world something brand new

cause the age of information
is sweeping across the nation

and bringing the world closer to you

Now the miracles have only begun
In the places where our business gets done

the office of tomorrow will be

the very model of efficiency

If you want data,
you’ll get that data

And only the data you need

And the words are movin’
And the mail is movin’

With electronic speed

you will talk to two or quite a few
on a teleconference call

and the chips are sorting

and the datas moving

on a thread of glass so small

as it brings the world, closer to you

your phone will be a computer

it will make your bank deposits

it will mail your voice like a letter

where it can wait to a later date
to communicate
so we’re making the world better,
we’re making the world smaller
we’re bringing the world something brand new

cause the age of information
is sweeping across the nation
and bringing the world closer to you

and your voice is traveling
and your words are moving
and the wires are humming a song

and the world is changin’
and the countrys’ changin’

so won’t you come along?
on this wonderous journey
to the information age

there’s a wonderful change comin’
a beautiful day dawnin’
a miracle we’re seeing coming true

cause the age of information
is sweeping across the nation

and bringing the world closer to you

closer to you
closer to you
bringing the world
bringing the world
closer to you

Audio Archive: Listen to the Land

One more little Earth Day treat. "Listen to the Land"! This mix is from a amazing fan made audio collection for Epcot's 25th. I Included the lyrics so feel free to sing along.

Just make believe, you're a tiny little seed,
a tiny little seed that's reaching up to meet your need.
With the right amount of faith, and the right amount of earth,
you'll grow to see the sunshine on your day of birth.

Let's listen to the land we all love,
nature's plan will shine above,
listen to the land, listen to the land.

Let's listen to the land we all love,
nature's plan will shine above,
listen to the land, listen to the land.

When springtime comes, how can you tell?
The air is always filled with orange blossom smell.
Come summertime, the warmest sun shines,
and world is full of flowers and good melon rinds.

Let's listen to the land we all love,
nature's plan will shine above,
listen to the land, listen to the land.

Let's listen to the land we all love,
nature's plan will shine above,
listen to the land, listen to the land.

When autumn falls, it's a harvest show,
with north winds blowing all the seeds that it must sow.
Come winter time, the rain must fall,
'till once again the new year and the springtime call.

Let's listen to the land we all love,
nature's plan will shine above,
listen to the land, listen to the land.

Let's listen to the land we all love,
nature's plan will shine above,
listen to the land, listen to the land.

The seasons come, and the seasons go,
nature knows everything that it must know.
The earth and man, can be good friends,
let's listen so our harvest time will never end.

Let's listen to the land we all love,
nature's plan will shine above,
listen to the land, listen to the land.

Let's listen to the land we all love,
nature's plan will shine above,
listen to the land, listen to the land.

Audio Archive: Space Mountain Queue Music

Today We blast over to Tomorrowland to listen to one of my favorite pieces of audio. The Space Mountain Queue music! more Specificly the Audio that was introduced in the mid 80's and played for many years into the 2010's. This to me is some of the most peaceful music in the parks. It's ironic that it plays before boarding one of the most thrilling rides in the Magic Kingdom.

60 Days of Disneyween: Day 16 - Sing Along: The Headless Horseman

This awesome song from the animated film The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, is sung by non other then Bing Crosby and was released on October 5 1949. Head over to Manifesting the Magics YouTube Page or just watch the Video below and enjoy.

Gather 'round and I'll elucidate
What goes on outside when it gets late
Along about midnight the ghosts and banshees
They get together for their nightly jamboree
There's things with horns and saucer eyes
Some with fangs about this size
Some are fat and some are thin
And some don't even wear their skin
I'm telling you, brother, it's a frightful sight
To see what goes on Halloween night

When the spooks have a midnight jamboree
They break it up with fiendish glee
The ghosts are bad but the one that's cursed
Is the headless horseman; he's the worst
That's right, he's a fright on Halloween night

When he goes a joggin' 'cross the land
Holding his noggin in his hand
Demons take one look and groan
And they hit the road to parts unknown
Beware, take care he rides alone

And there's no spook like a spook that's spurned
They don't like him and he's really burned
He swears to the longest day he's dead
He'll show them that he can get a head

They say he's tired of his flaming top
He's got a yen to make a swap
So he rides one night each year
To find a head in the hollow here

He likes 'em little
He likes 'em big
Parted in the middle or a wig
Black or white or even red
The headless horseman needs a head

With a hip, hip and a clippity clop
He's out looking for a top to chop
So don't stop to figure out a plan
You can't reason with a headless man

Now if you doubt this tale is so
I met that spook just a year ago
Now I didn't stop for a second look
But made for the bridge that spans the brook
For once you've crossed that bridge, my friend
The ghost is through
His power ends

So when you're ridin' home tonight
Make for the bridge with all your might
He'll be down in the hollow there
He needs your head
Look out! Beware!

With a hip, hip and a clippity clop
He's out looking for a head to swap
So don't try to figure out a plan
You can't reason with a headless man

Audio Archive: Davy Crockett's Fiddle

We all know the Disney song The Ballad of Davy Crockett. But did you know he Played the fiddle? And did you know it's still in existence? There is even a CD recording of Dean Shostak Playing it. Dean is a musician from Williamsburg Virginia who is known for being one of the only people in the world to know how to play the Glass Armonica among other Glass instruments. But on this album its all fiddle and its the real one Davy owned. The songs are of the American folk style from several generations. You can see the track list below. The last track is the most unique. It features three songs about Davy Crockett from three different time periods the third being Disney's version. It's a surreal experience to hear the song we all know and love but this time on his own fiddle. So now I share that experience with you. Audio Archives: Epcot - Fountain of Nations Loop

Below is a link to the new Manifesting the Magic YouTube page. The first video for your listening pleasure is the Fountain of Nations Loop. This track plays between show segments when the fountain is in its resting positions. This track is one of the most relaxing clips from around the "World" and I enjoy setting it to loop and laying back to enjoy it. I added in a few photos to make the listening experience a little better. If you drink Coke out of small paper cup while misting yourself with water from a spray bottle, you'll feel like your right there. LOL. Enjoy.
