The Grand Opening of Walt Disney World Part 5 – Bears, The Wherefore and Why, Presidents and Jonathan Winters...Again!

We meet up with Glen Campbell for a third time to introduced The Country Bear Jamboree.
Then we see the bears perform “Bear Band Serenade” then Liver Lips McGrowl sings “My Woman Ain't Pretty (But She Don't Swear None)”. Next Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah sing “All the Guys Who Turn Me On Turn Me Down”. And lastly, the entire finale starting with Big Al singing “Blood on the Saddle” right into “The Ballad of Davy Crockett” sung by Henry and Sammy. And then the whole gang sings “Ole Slew-Foot”. All in all a good preview of the show showing almost most of the entire performance.

Now we're taken to the banks of the Rivers of America and catch up with Glen again. He performs “The Wherefore and Why” originally written by Gorden Lightfoot. Lightfoot may be more known for his hit song “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” but that wouldn't top the charts for another 5 years.

This segment has some great moments. First we see the Haunted Mansion free of trees and clutter then we see the now defunct Keelboats at their dock. And to top it all off the awesome camera work that makes it look like the Riverboat is about to plow right into Glen. Watch Out Glen! Come back tomorrow when I post the song on the Manifesting the Magic Youtube channel. As always it will be linked right here on the blog.

Following the musical number Glen takes a stroll around Liberty Square and Introduces the Hall of Presidents. We see the presidents roll-call followed by Abraham Lincolns' epic speech.

With that we now have seen two brand new attractions exclusive to Walt Disney World. So what do we do now how about head back to Fort Wilderness for more of Jonathan Winters shenanigans. He joins his family around a nonlite fire ring in the middle of the day to scare his kids about alligators and to swat a gnat that he finds out was Tinkerbell then gives her CPR, you know just more normal dad stuff. And finally, he has his kids “track down mommy” after she runs away at the idea of him playing William Tell with her. Good Husband.
